Donald Trump is set to take office on January 20, Inauguration Day, marking his second term as President of the United States.

The Republican, who has notably shifted his stance from being a staunch “dollar guy” to a pro-crypto advocate, has more than dipped his toe in the digital asset space in recent years with ventures including NFTs and trading cards.

Recently, an image of Trump was even inscribed on a Bitcoin block through the use of the Ordinals protocol as a tribute to the incoming president. But what most investors are eager to uncover before he takes office is the content and value of the New Yorker’s crypto wallet.

How much does his digital asset portfolio hold as the USA, and indeed the world, anticipate the next phase of “Trumponomics“?

Does Trump hold Bitcoin?

According to data retrieved and analyzed by Finbold from Arkham on January 17, just three days before the big event, Trump’s crypto portfolio is valued at $17.75 million. This comes at a time when Bitcoin has surged back above $100,000, now trading at around $102,000, with significant momentum following Trump’s election victory.

His largest holding is in the meme coin Trog (TROG), valued at $10.81 million. The TRUMP token follows with $2.03 million, with Ethereum (ETH) at $1.7 million and Wrapped Ethereum (WETH) at $1.64 million.

What’s particularly intriguing is the absence of Bitcoin in his portfolio, a surprising omission given his vocal support for the cryptocurrency. Instead, his wallet is peppered with smaller altcoins and meme coins, suggesting these assets might have been airdropped or gifted to his public address as a marketing ploy by crypto projects aiming to leverage his influence.

However, Trump might have private wallets or investments not publicly disclosed. Given his stance on privacy and his past comments favoring BTC, it’s conceivable that he could own Bitcoin in less public or known accounts. However, no such private holdings have been confirmed in the public domain.
