Supra, a fully integrated Layer-1 (L1) blockchain, has officially launched its mainnet together with a token generation event (TGE), as noted in the recent reports shared with Finbold on Wednesday, November 27.
The SUPRA token is now available to a global audience on leading crypto platforms such as ByBit, KuCoin, Gate, and MEXC, with more exchange partnerships announced for the near future.
Supra Mainnet launch
In an effort to meet demanding industry standards, the mainnet launch is the result of months of meticulous preparation with Tier-1 and Tier-2 exchanges and years of innovation by a multidisciplinary team.
Joshua Tobkin, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-Founder of Supra, described the launch as more than a technical feat, emphasizing the collective efforts of a diverse team:
“Supra’s mainnet launch and TGE is more than just a technical feat, it’s the culmination of years of dedicated work from our engineers, developers, researchers, and business teams, who all share a commitment to building next-generation blockchain infrastructure.”
Tobkin further added:
“With our high-performance network delivering 500k TPS and our MultiVM support, native oracle, VRF, and automation services, Supra is creating an all-encompassing environment for Super dApps. We’re thrilled to take this significant step forward, providing builders with the performance and flexibility they need to launch disruptive and innovative decentralized applications.”
User engagement on Supra
The platform’s user base likewise helped the mainnet launch. Through the Project Blastoff campaign that took place in 2023, for example, over half a million verified users participated in quests to qualify for SUPRA tokens available through flexible vesting options.
Further, in August 2024, the testnet phase saw over nine million transactions processed without bots.
These transactions were supported by features like the Starcade arena, where games such as Dice Vision and Astro Predictions helped developers do trial work under real-world conditions.
Early adoption of Supra’s mainnet
Early developers are already gearing up to deploy decentralized applications (dApp) on the mainnet.
Chief Business Officer (CBO) and Co-Founder Jon Jones emphasized Supra’s dedication to joint efforts:
“The launch of $SUPRA on leading exchanges is a testament to our shared vision of creating a resilient, scalable blockchain ecosystem for the Web3 future. We’ve been actively working with partners to establish strong liquidity, seamless integration, and a robust foundation for our community. Our efforts don’t stop here; we’re excited to continue collaborating with our exchange partners in ongoing marketing initiatives that bring Supra’s mission to a wider Web3 audience.”
This dedication was celebrated earlier this month during the Spacefest event, which featured discussions with notable Web3 leaders, including Sam Blackshear of SUI, Vineeth Kashyap of Aptos Labs, and Justin Bons of Cyber Capital.
Supra offers developers a comprehensive platform with native tools, including oracle price feeds, on-chain randomness, cross-chain capabilities, and automation, with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and SolanaVM features coming in the near future.
Unique Supra Containers feature further enables developers to create custom ecosystems without the complexity of external services, while extensive third-party audits, stress testing, and penetration testing ensure the platform meets standards of each exchange partner.
Additional incident response protocols are also incorporated to protect user data and help maintain trust in the platform.
