NiceHash, a crypto mining platform, has partnered with Marathon Digital Holdings (MARA) to launch a custom firmware for application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) miners optimized for the NiceHash platform, as per the information shared with Finbold on June 14.
The new product, branded as NiceHash Firmware, leverages MARA technology and is now available to all Bitcoin (BTC) miners, offering advanced features aimed at increasing ASIC device efficiency and boosting revenue.
Developed in collaboration with MARA, NiceHash Firmware is compatible with NiceHash ASIC Manager, Foreman, and Awesome Miner.

NiceHash Firmware is available for a low fee of 2%, which drops to 1.4% for miners using NiceHash as their primary pool.
With innovative auto-tuning features and customizable profiles, the firmware aims to make the most innovative technology in the crypto industry accessible on the open market.
The firmware can be installed on ASICs with Air, Hydro, and Single Phase or Two Phase Immersion cooling systems, and its auto-tune functionality can be adjusted based on Power Target, Hashrate Target, or Percentage Adjustment.
Intelligent thermal protection and a custom dashboard for detailed ASIC performance monitoring are also a part of the package.
Optimizing ASIC machines with MARA
Marathon, the largest publicly traded Bitcoin miner, is known for its advanced firmware, which includes an advanced auto-tuning feature for optimizing ASIC machines.
The partnership with NiceHash will extend the reach of this technology, branded as NiceHash Firmware, to all miners regardless of their size.
